Our Autumn Term theme
Ysgol & Memory Box
You can learn about these on this link:
The children will be listening to stories about memories, growing up, their home and school. We will also be welcoming in visitors such as family members and the health visitor to talk about caring for babies and memories of how things have changed over time. From these experiences they will share lots of ideas that they would like to explore during the theme.
We will look at photographs and portraits to show how capturing a moment in time has developed through the use of technology and the importance of eSafety.
We will also be learning about different festivals and celebrations such as Harvest, November 5th, Diwali and Christmas.
Our home learning activities during this theme are included on the plan for parents.
Here are more ideas to learn together at home:
We also do Read Write Inc daily which helps us with our blending and spelling. Reading together at home is an essential part of this.

Building Learning Power
We want our pupils to be curious, confident and independent learners. We develop learning habits which raise achievement, improve behavior and increase enjoyment in learning.
Being stuck means we are learning, learning ways to become unstuck.
The importance and the skills we need for working together.
To understand why we need to ask goodquestions and what a good question may be.
What is a good listener and what do we need to do.
Using our minds eye and wondering ‘what if…’
Being able to working things out methodically and being able to give your own point of view.
This term we will be building the learning habit of ‘Meta-Learning’ knowing yourself as a learner – how you learn best. How to talk about the learning process
