P.E is every Wednesday doing Dance and Friday is outdoor sports, this half term it is football. Children need to bring PE kit for these days.
Reading is part of your child's learning so please listen to your child read 3 times a week. Homework is handed out every Monday and collected in every Friday.
If you have the internet at home and access to a computer then your child can do the set homework on HWB and J2e.
We love to read so here are the reading strategies we use to help us learn to read.
We also use our Read Write Inc strategies to help us with our blending and spelling. Click below to find out how to pronounce the sounds correctly.
We are learning our times tables in class and we like to use the TTRockstars website to challenge ourselves and also J2blast on Hwb. Have a go at some of the contests on sumdog!
Building Learning Power
We have been very busy building our learning habits. Below are some of the learning habits we have focused on so far.
(what kind of learners we are and how we learn best)
This term we are revisiting Perseverance and are spending time developing our skills further. We are focusing on recognising how it feels to be 'stuck', talking about strategies (the '6 Bs') we can use to get 'unstuck' and setting our own targets.
Please encourage your child to use the 6Bs at home whenever they are feeling 'stuck'.
'Be Brave' 'Buddy' 'Bits and Bobs'
'Backtrack' 'Be still' 'Boss'
