Our School Council are elected by their class to represent their views. Their job is to improve our school. The School Council gives pupils in the school a strong 'voice' in how the school is run. They meet regularly with Mrs Williams, Headteacher, and they discuss things like how the school lunches can be improved, the school anti bullying policy or ideas for improving the way the school works. They were even involved in planning the school building and their new school sport kit and their uniform!
Members of the school council are responsible for carrying out the ideas that have been agreed, such as planning playground activities or suggesting ideas to raise money for our school. They are a very busy bunch!
We think our School Council is effective because:
- We have regular meetings
- Everyone contributes
- We discuss ideas that have been brought up in Class Council meetings
- We are good at communicating with our classes
